PEDRO DEL HIERRO, CHOSEN TO DESIGN FOR THE SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM

Next year, the players of Spain’s national squad and the coaching and management teams will be wearing the suit designed by the fashion house PdH (Pedro del Hierro),part of the Cortefiel Group. The two year extendable agreement, together with the final design, will be officially presented in January 2013.

Grupo Cortefiel, the Royal Spanish Football Federation and Santa Mónica Sports have signed a new sponsorship agreement whereby the brand Pedro del Hierro will once again be acting as an Official Supplier / Collaborator for an extendable two-year period.
Thanks to this agreement, whenever they attend a public engagement, Spain’s national squad, as well as the coaching and management team, will be sporting a full outfit made up of a suit, coat and accessories, all designed by the Pedro del Hierro design team, just as they did during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, when they became World Champions.

Major international competitions such as the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup will provide the Spanish team that boasts the greatest number of supporters around the world with the chance to showcase design ‘made in Spain’ by a luxury fashion firm that is committed to its major international expansion and development.
In the words of Juan Carlos Escribano, Grupo Cortefiel’s CEO and senior executive, “This year, in which our international presence has expanded to more than 70 countries, has been one of major progress in consolidating our international presence, especially in the Asian market where the firm is set to open more than two hundred stores in the mid-term. We are extremely proud to be involved with the Spanish football team and their work as ambassadors for our country, whose prestige is renowned throughout the world.”
The made-to-measure Pedro del Hierro total look that the team will be wearing, and which has already received an initial go-ahead, includes a cool wool suit, shirts, ties, shoes, socks and coat. The firm has once again resorted to a clever mix of the very latest in fashion design, innovation and technology created especially for the Spanish team.

Pedro del Hierro, part of Grupo Cortefiel since 1992, is present in 24 countries and distributes to 400 points of sale, including own stores and Cortefiel spaces.
